Objectives

ECPAT Austria together with regional (Upper Austria, Styria) and national partners aims to empower young people ("peer experts") to use new media savely and responsibly and to share their media competencies with their peers. The participating young people are supported to develop their own ideas and visions regarding their role as peers and to actively participate in the "Make-IT-safe 2.0" project.

Implementation of the evaluation

The evaluators' focus is on the process (process evaluation) as well as on the effects of the project activities (summative evaluation).

queraum. cultural and social research supports the project team in reflecting the steps taken in the project, in collecting lessons learned and in the controlling of the achievements.

In addition to the participating young people, regional and national partners as well as trainers and stakeholders are important target groups of the evaluation activities. A range of qualitative, low-threshold and interactive methods are applied to systematically collect the target groups' perspectives.

queraum supports the project team to make the project results and lessons learned available to the public (e.g. handbook).
