Ziele
The project addresses single parent families with a special focus on single mothers, who are an especially vulnerable population at risk of poor mental and physical health. Furthermore, activities are planned for children of single mothers and the noncustodial parent.
The overall aim of the resource-oriented "Makes you strong"-project is to enhance the single parent families´ social networks and their quality of life. The project is carried out in the city of Graz and in selected surrounding areas of Graz.
Implementation of the evaluation
queraum. cultural and social research is responsible for the accompanying evaluation that focuses on the process (formative evaluation) as well as on the outcomes (summative evaluation) of the project.
During the course of the project, queraum supports the project team in reflecting and optimising the process, planning further steps and collecting lessons learned. Within the summative evaluation queraum assesses whether the targets of the project have been reached, e.g. whether single parent families involved have been supported in enhancing their social networks and their quality of life. Furthermore, queraum supports the project team in reflecting the consideration of health promotion principles, such as empowerment and participation.
