Objectives

The objectives of the project is to create better conditions for children aged 3 to 7 who are at risk of poverty and marginalisation to grow up healthily. In the regions of Southwest Styria, Burgenland and Graz, region-specific activities are organised for families, carers, professionals and cooperation partners (including playgroups, leisure activities, training courses, networking meetings, etc.). The aim is to expand the range of services for families at risk of exclusion and to sensitise relevant stakeholders to the issue of poverty and exclusion.

Implementation

The focus of the evaluation is on analysing the impact of the project. Based on the impact model developed, the project team wants to find out, among other things, how well the project

  • reaches affected families,
  • contributes to strengthening problem-solving skills and self-efficacy and
  • promotes the networking of relevant actors in the regions.

Selected families and stakeholders are involved in the evaluation using various low-threshold survey methods (e. g. feedback forms, personal interviews). In addition, regular reflection meetings are held with the project team to gather lessons learnt and make them usable for scaling.
