The project aims to assess the educational and structural accessibility of schools with different experience in the field of "inclusive education" and thereby makes a contribution to the further development of the schools towards inclusion.
In Austria schools are assessed on the basis of „accessibility standards“ to be developed in the course of the project. These "accessibility standards" measure the level of accessibility and allow a categorisation of the participating schools. Among others, important dimensions are the structural accessibility and the needs of the pupils, parents and the school staff.
An expert of structural accessibility and an expert of pedagogical needs of teachers, pupils, parents and directors will accomplish each assessment.
