Objectives
The main goal of GENERATIONS PLUS is to build a network for professionals, organisations, and initiatives that are committed to fostering positive intergenerational relationships, are interested in exchange, and want to learn from one another. By developing a knowledge and resource platform for intergenerational work and providing accompanying measures such as exchange formats, GENERATIONS PLUS aims to:
- systematically collect, process, and make accessible knowledge and experience about intergenerational work,
- connect, strengthen, and support the development of organisations and committed individuals involved in intergenerational practice and
- give visibility to innovative projects and initiatives, thereby increasing their impact, reach, and recognition.
Implementation
GENERATIONS PLUS is developing a target-group-oriented online platform that consolidates knowledge and facilitates exchange. It will offer theoretical foundations, background information, and practical content. The content of the platform is continuously researched, editorially prepared, and presented in an easily understandable way.
An interactive digital project map on the platform will serve as a vibrant, constantly growing "archive of intergenerational practice", not only showcasing innovative projects, introducing the people behind them, and inspiring the further development of intergenerational practice, but also actively promoting networking and collaboration.
Furthermore, organisations, initiatives, and dedicated individuals involved in intergenerational work will be invited to participate in regular exchange and learning formats. These will provide a forum for discussing current issues and experiences, presenting innovative approaches from Austria and abroad, and further developing their own methods.
